Sillenia was widely known and yet not widely known. She ran what would appear to be an average two year old season. What really made her stand out was her win against a solid field of colts in the Juvenile Turf. Despite this effort she did not take home any awards, but this was only the beginning of great things to come.

As a three year old she was an early favorite for the Kentucky Open due to her Juvenile Turf win and she definitely won it in style. That was her only major victory of the year, before ending a relatively quiet three year old season with a win in the Filly and Mare Turf.

Her four year old season was the start of great things. She became a top notch competitor over the turf, and occasionally over the dirt. What really drew attention to Sill was her rivalry with the hotly touted mare Terror Smile. Terror Smile was ripping her competition apart and she never lost to the same horse twice. The press waited with bated breath for Sillenia to face Smiles at the end of the year in the Filly and Mare Turf. Defending champion Sillenia had a huge field of about nine to contend with as well as Terror Smile. Despite this, the coltish mare defended her Filly and Mare Turf title and took home the gold, becoming the only horse to defeat Smiles twice.

This season, Sillenia was even more impressive. She was the icon of Filly and Mare Turf stardom. She was used as a ranker for people to compare their upcoming turf female stars to. This year Sillenia had yet another rival - Alluring Assault, the mare on fire. Their final contest was to be contested in, that's right, the Filly and Mare Turf. Sillenia ran a fantastic season, even taking the coveted Twilight Stakes at the Wire over a fierce field. In the Filly and Mare Turf she faced the classiest field yet - Alluring Assault, rising star and streaking Dazzling Dame and SOPS's very own Wild Kiss.

Against all odds, Sillenia did it again. She put down her latest challenger and firmly cemented herself in history.

NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS
Sillenia took down both of the rivals that threatened to steal her Filly and Mare Turf crown, Terror Smile and Alluring Assault (who is currently being considered for Champion status at the Wire). She won three Filly and Mare Turfs and a total of four Breeders Cup races. Time after time Sillenia has proven her reliability and class and courage throughout the years. She's never given up her crown, only allowed others to occasionally share in it. Due to her accomplishments I believe she definitely deserves the title of Hall Of Famer.
