Rising Fury was widely known for her ferocious temper from the start of her career. Green Horse Stables aquired her as a two year old, and almost sold her on for her wild behaviour. Marissa Star however wanted to work with the filly - she saw the masses of potential under the filly's rolling eyes. Unfortunately, Fury hated her, and bolted, bucked and reared whenever Marissa was on her back.

Marissa wasn't known for being a pushover though - she was just as stubborn as the filly, and eventually, nearly three months into the Y3 season, Fury was ready for her first race. They entered in a small racemeet in a two year old maiden race, in which they placed fifth - which was second last in the small six horse field. Marissa wasn't discouraged however - Fury had a temper problem that could be solved.

Her second race proved better. Marissa was able to maintain the little control she had over the furious filly until the final three furlongs, when Fury lost her temper and bolted. In the end, the field caught up with the tiring horse and Fury came in second by only a nose.

Marissa finally had the key to controlling Fury. The filly wanted to run, and didn't like to be held back. The trick was to rate her as little as possible. So they worked on galloping at high speeds for long distances to improve the filly's stamina. It worked - Fury was soon able to gallop fifteen furlongs comfortably, and before her third race! They then entered in their third race and won it by two lengths.

Encouraged, Marissa entered her in the upcoming juvenile fillies race, the Mermaid Cup. The field was full of high class and well bred fillies, but Fury blew them away, winning by five lengths. It was then Marissa really knew she had a something special - a filly who could win the Breeder's Cup Classic one day. So she set her heart on this dream, and finished Fury's two year old season with a win in the Breeder's Cup Juvenile Fillies.
Fury won one Horse Of The Year award that year - the Best 2Y0 Filly award.

In Fury's third year, she reached grade one and won the Preakness Stakes, the Girls Festival, the Star Festival and the Unicorn Horn Fillies. She won two HOTY Awards that year - Best 3Y0 Filly and Filly of The Year.
But it wasn't until her fourth year that she shone like the bright star she really is. She had a long break after the Preakness Stakes, and was raced lightly in three small races before coming back to the big races again. She won all three.

She was then raced in MHS's Waterville Park, which she won. She then went on to win the Queen Cup, and the Full Moon Derby. The Dubai Filly Cup, a Dubai World cup qualifying race was next on the list, which she won easily by three lengths. Fury then went on to compete in the Dubai World Cup, and won it with so much heart her fans had to cry. Rising Fury was then rested up for the Breeder's Cup Classic, the race that was her dream to win.

It was a tough field, no doubt about it - but Fury pulled through, and won it by two lengths. Most people would have retired her there, but Fury still had two more races to prove herself in. She took on the Procyon Handicap as a warm up for the Melbourne Cp, winning it easily. She then went to the Melbourne Cup and won by three lengths.
She was crowned Filly of The Year, Best Older Mare, Best Dirt Horse and Racehorse of the Year, the most awards any horse had ever recieved in one year in history.

The now five year old mare now had only one race left to conquer before she was retired to brood - the Unicorn Horn Classic. it was a Breeder's Cup Classic on the turf, a race that would make Fury even more famous than she already was. So she was entered in the Just A Sprint Distaff just as a warmup race, even though she wasn't really a sprinter. She won that by a neck, beating some of the best sprinter fillies around.

Now came her final race, the last she would ever run in. The Unicorn Classic. Little Miss Innocent, a turfer filly Fury had so often beaten, was entered. Marissa and Fury weren't too worried- but the other filly had always presented a challenge and Fury had just pulled through every time. Race day arrived, and Fury killed. She won by five lengths, an amazing feat.
