This girl has become a diva on the track this year as a three year old and has done things that I would have never believed any of my horses could have ever do, especially when compared to the racing stable giants that we have here that have been playing for years. Rise Me Gold (and her half-bro) have made a new name for not only themselves, but their sire as well. Rise Me Gold won not one, but two legs of the Triple Tiara and only narrowly missed her chance at going down in history by running second in the Mother Goose. That's crazy! After the Triple Tiara was over, Ms. Gold went on to knock the boys off their feet in the Risorgimento series by winning the Consumato, Valorizzare and running second in the Risorgimento Derby. If that isn't enough, she ran second to this year's Triple Crown Champion, Black Thriller in the Travers Stakes. The only time she ended up out of the money this year was the BC Distaff, but that wasn't her fault. She's phenomenal and has a backstory unlike any other 3 year old filly this year. Other 3 year old fillies for Y17 hit the ground winning as juveniles and continued to do so this year with fame and pedigree to back them up. Rise me Gold has neither of those things and yet here she is.
