Gallant Knight wasn't able to really race his juvenile and classic years, and he had two great undercard seasons under me. If he'd had more time I think he could have broken much more into the HOTY ranks, much as his sire did at the end of his career. Battle Wings is the stronger raced, with victories in a Breeders Cup, the Acorn Stakes, the Coaching Club American Oaks, the Cigar Red Mile, and more. Her grade one dam Silent Wings was foaled by BHOF Forbidden Wings, who won the Breeder's Distaff and also foaled Pegasus Wings, HOF Flashy Wings, and Taboo. BHOF Akuma Battlecry is out of BHOF Admiral's Revenge, who is out of BHOF War Admiral and BHOF Rosalind. Valiant's lineage links into some strong classic racers, and although his dam and sire are just beginning their breeding careers I think Valiant deserves a look for this category.
