IMPRESS THE MOONLIGHT
Impress the Moonlight won a total of 22 races in her career, 17 of them HOTY. She is the Y15 Triple Tiara Champion, and a Breeder's Cup winner. She was the Y13 BBT Best Classic Dirt Yearling, Y13 Best Prospect Filly, and Y14's Best Grade Four horse. Lily was bred by Alexia, but found herself running her prospect season with Akita Rose Stables. Upon ARS closure, Lily was one of the young juveniles that North Diamond Manor adopted in Y14. She has a bit of a slow start, especially with NDM being new to the racing world, but picked up steam by summer and was going strong for the rest of the year, placing second at Breeder's. As a three year old Lily burst into the turf filly division, being a formidable competitor in many open divisions. A rivalry got hot between her half-sister Pandora and Lily, with Lily finding herself in second to Pandora many times. A few times she did get even and crossed the wire first, and due to this relentless rivalry Pandora moved to the open turf racing, as Lily was dominating the filly fields. She took the Turf Triple Tiara as Pandora took the Turf Triple Crown, and it was Impress the Moonlight who scored the Breeder's Cup Filly and Mare Turf at the end of the year. With the introduction into older racing, Lily found her up against Pandora again, as well as some very strong older champion racehorses who stayed around for another year as five year olds rather than retiring. This shook her ground a bit, but she still put her whole heart into her performance and was beaten by only the very best on the tracks. She'd given things her all, so in her five year old season NDM notice her slowing up, and retired her early rather than drive this beautiful lady past her desire to race. Lily has proven her talent, she fought for her victories, and has been flaunting her success ever since. Impress the Moonlight is NDM's first Hall of Fame Inductee, and is to date the best filly we've ever had the privilege of racing.
