New Stable Opens Doors
In an ever-changing industry it is perhaps not surprising to see a new stable open it's doors. But Briar Grove Racing is not just any new stable. It is a stable with a difference, headed by none other than Alexia Harshing.
Those who followed us several years ago will be aware that Alexia Harshing, along her her good friend Matthias Lanning, was behind the success at Silver Stride Stables and the Triple Tiara campaign of Hall of Famer Paradise Island. While she has come and gone a few times since then, her disappearances fuelled by grief and illness, she has informed the gallop that this time she is here to stay.
With a single yearling, and having recently acquired the grade 5 three-year-old, Dogma, it might not look like much right now. In fact, Briar Grove Racing pales in comparison to some of our leading stables. However, let us not forget that Alexia nurtured Moondance to brilliance after a similar start and with less stock comes more time and dedication. Watching Dogma run, we can see that the colt is ready to return to the track after taking the summer off and we wish Alexia and her team luck in her future endeavours.
