[attr="class,"bioentry"]Some may describe Charlie Tango "Charlie" as cold and calculating. In reality, he's just a quiet colt who minds his own business. He doesn't fuss, he doesn't complain. He simply acts as though 'it is what it is' and goes through the motions. As a foal he often kept to himself and would always have to be reprimanded by his dam to stay close to her side. The colt is every bit of a lone-wolf and is often hunkered down in the corner of his stall with his rear facing the stall door. Even as an older horse he still keeps to himself in the paddocks and is the last one to be rounded up in the evenings because he would prefer to avoid the hustle and bustle of the other colts. One should be sure to remind the colt that someone is behind him as he is prone to kicking out of surprise. Despite being the lone-wolf on and off the track - this colt is a quick learner. One of his previous stablehands took it upon himself to try and teach the colt a few tricks as he was growing up and lo and behold, it worked. So far the colt knows how to lift his lip on command, count to five and rear when asked. Some consider it useless pony games for a racehorse, but Charlie honestly enjoys pleasing someone if it results in him getting a sweet treat of any kind. [attr="class","bioheader"]racing style. [attr="class,"bioentry"]Front-runner [break][break] The colt is more of a miler-type horse than he lets on and prefers to meet his jockey in the middle. He can stretch out and endure up to nine and a half furlongs on his own because he insists on staying ahead of the pack, maintaining a lead position. In order to transverse the longer distances, his jockey will have to take control of the colt and get him through the race step by step. If his rider doesn't do the former, the colt is prone to burning himself out by trying to ride the lead position for the duration of a relatively long race. With the miler-type races he is able to collect himself and maintain his lead position and manage his speed accordingly. The colt also has a thing for sloppy dirt tracks and excels particularly well under those conditions. [attr="class","bioheader"]race record.
