NEW SKIN
UPDATE #002
Heyo everyone!
This will be the final major update to the skin for a while (possibly excluding any color scheme changes). This was an attempt to further simplify the layout of Final Furlong and make it more stream-lined.
With the changing of skins I have some exciting news to bring to the table. The monetary system is now able to be manually used by members with no input from staff and also making the managing of the bank obsolete.
You are now able to freely buy/sale horses at set prices and offer stud fees and exchange money among yourselves without hassle. How do you do that?
Say a member is selling a horse for $500. First you're going to express interest in the horse by either responding to the sale thread or sending a direct message to the member. Once you've been accepted for the sale, this is what you have to do.
Click on that member's name (going to their profile) and select 'Send Donation' where the box has 0.00, change it to 500 and make sure to fill out the reason for the donation. In this case it would be 'For the purchase of Horse X'
The horse's owner will get the notification and can choose to either accept or reject the offer. Stud fees can be done in a similar manner. With the monetary system being made almost effortless I strongly advise members to participate in the newly revised system with stud fees and things of that nature.
I will be observing transactions for a while to see if the earning amounts need to be adjusted over time. You will primarily earn tokens from selling horses, stud fees, entering races, hosting events and writing articles/workouts. However, staff members can manually give extra money to member who either win HOTY awards or major series. Also the more wealthy member population can always donate money to members in need.
Members who respond to this thread saying that they'd like to give the newly revised monetary system a try will have $5,000 added to their account.
Changes to the board
- Create-a-horse board is now a sub-board of THE REGISTRY
- Equus Bank has been removed
- Interviews/Stable Tours is now a sub-board of STABLES
- The news boards have been condensed into one and is now found in BEYOND THE TRACK
