POTENTIAL EDITS TO MONETARY SYSTEM
UPDATE #001
Heyo everyone!
Following the minor update that involved a few race additions to Battlestone Downs and a revamp to update The Wire's schedule, I've been strongly considering something.
Our monetary system may come as a hassle to many members to the point that they don't even use it. Excluding the monetary system - I still heavily encourage all members to update their horse's profiles with their earnings from races just for the fun of it.
However, that's not my point today. Before the merging of GHF/BSD/TW into Final Furlong there had been a discussion regarding the bank.
Where it currently stands right now - we have a separate monetary system listed with the $ currency and we have tokens (earned in various amounts from different boards/threads).
I recall a lengthy conversation in regards to the tokens and I've been trying to figure out how to modify the monetary system plugin so that members can freely 'donate' money to other members.
An example of this would be
Cavallo is selling a horse for 100 tokens
Sammy wants to buy said horse - and she does
Sammy 'donates' 100 tokens to Cavallo's profile without any staff assistance (let's pretend they're not staff members for a moment)
Cavallo is 100 tokens richer
Of course - a larger amount of tokens will be manually distributed during certain events (HOTY nominations), winning major series, etc.
I'm working on getting this system in order - but I am experiencing technical difficulties at the moment.
This is just a heads up for those who shy away from the current monetary system - a change for the better is on its way I assure you.
With the addition of a currency that members can freely distribute among each other and purchase items from the shop all in one I feel as though it will better the game.
Stay tuned for further updates, hopefully I will be able to get it to work in everyone's favor soon enough.
