Week 2
Cormack Stakes - G5 - 9f - D - 2yoFIRST Rogue Prince SECOND Louisiana Blues THIRD Ouro Lume FOURTH Night Terror FIFTH Beyond Constellation Night Terror strikes me as liking longer distances, this was a field heavy on front runners, with an extra furlong or two I think he would have gotten into his closing kick stronger. Beyond Constellation-She's definitely struggling here, she needs some smaller fields and I'd suggest looking at her racing style in particular for a potential change. It says she's variable, but that she needs blinkers and cotton in her ears. I am no racing expert, but to me those suggest that if she's bothered by sights and sounds she should be a front runner, to have the open space and air in front of her. It also sounds like she prefers shorter distances, with her being a speed demon and not liking to be held back. I'd really like to see her succeed, I'd suggest doing an overhaul on her racing style perhaps or give her a furlong extension to 7 or 6. Either way I think her preferences aren't fitting very well with her written racing style. Could make a difference! Finbar Stakes - G5 - 9f - T - 2yoWIN Lasheeva PLACE Ice Fiend SHOW Rebound FOURTH Takeover Bid A huge upset today, I felt that Lasheeva gave it her all in this race and simply said no to another out of the money finish to pull forward for the win. *Just a side note, Holly , Lasheeva's racing style describers her as a closer/mid-pack, but she's listed as a front runner on her page. Corkscrew Stakes - G4+ - 7f - D - 2yoGate One:Lebix Derby - G4+ - 7f - T - 2yoGate One: The Raven jockeyed by Myra Collins Foolish Entity Mile - G3 - 8F - T - 3YO Fillies OnlyWin. Silent Front Place. Sorcha Stakes - G5+ - 11f - D - 2yoWin. Virtuoso Place. Gallant Pup Show. Moonshine 4th. Arrows Away Niahme Derby - G5+ - 7f - T - 2yoWIN Truly Something place Fire Assault show Took The Night 4th Lux Aeterna Sevenwaters Stakes - G5 - 7f - DFIRST Realeza SECOND Flash and Class THIRD Finding North FOURTH Katana Allegra Derby - G5 - 7f - TWIN Wildcat King PLACE Tap Out SHOW Fever Pitch fourth Whistle Blower Prickly Pear Stakes - G3 - 11F - D - 3YOFIRST Fabled Dreams SECOND Tuff E' Nuff THIRD Hurricane Violetsareblue Stakes - G3 - 9F - D - 3YO Fillies OnlyFIRST Miss Magic SECOND Rise Me Gold SALVATOR MILE STAKES* - G2+ - 8F - DIRT - 3YO+WIN Night Visions place Artemis Glory show Incognito [nose] 4th Coincidence 5th Hellfire 6th Barely A Sound I get that SOPS horses normally are expected to be in their top form 100% of the time, but the two stablemates just couldn't get their head in the game today. Incognito was in the mood to challenge Coincidence today right out of the starting gate, jostling each other a bit in the process. It was a duel between the two which ended with Incognito edging over the finish line before his stablemate. Night Visions used this to his advantage and came up behind the two SOPS horses moving like a well-oiled machine to earn his first win of the season. Artemis had her work cut out for her today trying to outpace the strong stallions in this race. But the Y15 BC Juv. Turf Sprint winner had not forgotten her roots and showed off a burst of speed right at the end of the race. The bottom two weren't as lucky and couldn't get around the dueling pack in front of them.

Week 4
Compassion Stakes - G5 - 11f - D - 2yoFIRST Arrows Away SECOND Night Terror THIRD The Dark Knight FOURTH Ouro Lume FIFTH What So Not SIXTH Leviticus In this race Arrows Away was able to make it wire to wire. With such a heavy front pack Ouro Lume got stuck behind the leader, boxed in with Knight beside her and What So Not behind her. The two closers held back, with Night Terror able to break around the outside and box in What So Not from making a move in enough time for a better slot while Knight also encroached for the front of the pack. Everybody was fighting for positions but with the top three in a row barreling for the finish it made it impossible for the bottom three to break through. Jackal Stakes - G5 - 11f - T - 2yoWIN Bohemian Rhapsody PLACE Vitriol SHOW Man O'Glory Tempered Tempest: Ran at TW Western Heritage Stakes - G5+ - 8f - D - 2yoFIRST Hidden Scheme SECOND Rogue Prince THIRD Charmed Weapon FOURTH Flash and Class Vandal Stakes - G5+ - 8f - T - 2yoWin. The Raven Place. Took The Night Show. Twilight Reign The Raven: I think he's ready to move into HOTY company to at least test the waters. Took The Night: I like her. She's a fun mare. I'm not sure if you're missing a result, however, because there isn't a placing beside Aug Wk 3 in the results section of her page. Twilight Reign: I'd start running her at shorter distances again. She seems like another Sugar Demon who excels at 6.5F and less. RunforGold Stakes - G3 - 10F - D - 3YOGate One: RunforRiches Stakes - G3 - 11F - T - 3YOWIN. Shatter PLACE. Silent Front SHOW. To win the Florida Derby and the Breeders' Stakes is pretty cool.
