Nature Spring Acres has a massive juvenile string and while they have died down just a little bit they are trying to find the right races to place them all. So let us take a look at the juveniles who are growing into their own.
Spartan
Meet Spartan, a colt with promise and durability and if anyone knows her lineage he is the full sibling to one Heart of Stone. He has come a long way from being brought to Nature Spring Acres and while he shares his sisters temperament he is a colt that shows determination and spunk. "Spartan runs like a machine and we felt that since Heart's offspring took to the turf we would focus him on that surface but we may change it up to have him run on dirt as well. Right now we want to see how he progresses with the field." Carrie Donovan stated about training the colt. Spartan may only appear to be a colt that will stick to the undercards in the long future.
In My Remains
In My Remains or Menace as the staff team at Nature Spring Acres calls him is a colt they never expected. He has grown into a nice looking juvenile. Many can tell who's son he is by the arrogance and dominance he shows over the other horses. Sired by Hall of Famer Impressario and out of grade one winner Dark Sunrise who has won races like the Dubai Filly Cup and the Breeders Cup Ladies Classic. Menace surely has a lot to live up to in his lineage. Training this colt seemed to be hard working but it has seemed to be paying off when Menace reached Grade Four just this week alone. "We call him Menace because he is a highly intelligent horse so he knows what to expect. The good thing about him that all of us love is the strong will he has for running. He shows a lot of his mother's ability to start from behind on the track but he immediately rushes to the lead once he seems to figure out the field he is in. This is a horse that everyone definitely needs to keep an eye on because he can be unpredictable on the track. I think we found solace in crossing Dark Sunrise with Impressario." Samantha Mack said briefly on the juvenile favorite of Nature Spring Acres.
Sillencio
Nicknamed Lenny, it seems the crossing of True Enough and Sillenia has certainly come to a tough pickle. Prepping him for dirt surfaces doesn't seem to favor the colt all to likely and the trainers at Nature Spring Acre's are immediately retraining the colt to run on the turf surface as well. Sillencio is a flirty colt one to be expected of a son to the legend known as True Enough. He does like to show off quite a bit a lot however he shows his differences racing on the track. Sillencio shares a close resemblance to his dam Sillenia it terms of frame of agility. "Lenny is a kind horse but he does love to show off when he is around anybody. On the track he shows that he likes to be competitive and likes to be enthusiastic. He will eventually come around when he comes to mature a little bit." Mason Connelly said about training Sillencio. The colt will continue to run in undercard races until he feels confident enough to race in the HOTY races which he will hopefully take on next year.
Darkness Falls
Darkness Falls has certainly been on the list of improvements with the Nature Spring Acres Team.
He is a horse that approaches on his own terms with his high hopes. Sired by Prancing in the Darkness and out of Little Miss Innocent, he is a colt that seems to be needing a time a to cool off before he goes to the top. He loves to run and while his last workout showed strong promise he has a tendency to lash out when it comes to the gate. "Shadow is not a gentleman, he is a horse that does know what he is doing and if people can't respect that then he does best to remind us of that. He will be a strong competitor on the tracks we are just training him to get passed the gate." Samantha Mack said in regards of him sitting o the sidelines these passed couple of months.
Insolence
A recognizable filly with the demeanor of her mother. She is the true daughter of Heart of Stone and sired by Aces Diamond Rio. The juvenile filly seems to show dominance and a tomboy sense of humor. A half sibling to Grade One Passion Heart and Grade One Heart of Rio she is certainly going to make her way to the top hopefully within the next few seasons.
"Sola is a very quick learner when it comes to training her however in the stalls touching her is like a crime but she know when we bring the saddle out its definitely time to work." Carrie said always seemingly to stand clear of the black filly.
Insolence has a lot on her plate and it does seem that Nakita Rose and Samantha Mack are debating on whether to sell her at the end of the year or keep her.
All In
All In is a prize-able filly showing her sire's color with her mother's attitude could lead her in the knack of trouble. Half sister to Reflected in Water, All In has certainly loved to placing in third place for most of her juvenile career thus far. Ali does have quite the reputation to live up to but the staff team feel they have high hopes for All In all together. They are hoping to bring the filly to the Breeder's Cup however they hope her maturity and hard headed ways won't get in the way of that. As we can see All In does love to come from behind but once this filly takes off she thrives for the win.
The daughter of Gamble on Peace will certainly bring efforts to make the win no matter what.
Hamlet
Named after the Shakespearean play, Hamlet is a rare case to find. While trying to find the strides it seems the Hokum son will like to be seen running the distances rather than the miles. He has certainly showed that he does mean business this season. Hamlet does have a long way to go but training this colt has been a breeze. The trainers have seen wonderful improvement each time they take him out to workout. A crazy kid with a sense of making everyone smile.
