WIN Devil You Know
place Hidden Scheme
show Enough Said
4th Exotic Dancer
5th Insouciant
Ever seen Cutthroat Kitchen? Yeah this is the horse edition.
With this particular set of horses I felt as though they had a bit more staying power over Insouciant. There's nothing wrong with him, so don't stress about that. I'd advise running him with his fellow sprinters for a bit or give him a 1 furlong ext. if you intend on running him as a miler as well (just to be on the safe side)

Sammy, Dogma could be very good for you. Just keep him racing regularly! Like, at least once a month regularly. Otherwise he won't be as good or competitive as he could be!

WIN Charmed Weapon [2 lengths]
place Night Terror
show The Dark Knight [nose]
4th Hamlet
5th Surrealism
6th The Blue Alien
Charmed Weapon was a formidable foe today for this field of horses and he came out magnificently from the pack during the halfway mark to overtake Hamlet. Night Terror was a surprise second place finisher as he pushed passed Hamlet and tried to gain on Charmed Weapon with a vengeance. With The Blue Alien I felt that he was reaching his limit as he approached the nine furlong marker. The Dark Knight was sure to get a fourth place finish before he nosed out Hamlet. With Surrealism I think he was a bit outmatched by such nasty competition - nasty in terms of disposition - they refused to take no for an answer.

WIN Mudslide
place Chelsea's Smile
show Handsome Loom
4th Golden Truth
5th Cosmic Queen
6th Windfallen
7th Golden Envoy
The ever mentally unstable Mudslide (he actually reminds me of Richard Gecko from Dusk Til Dawn, besides the point anyway) kept the entire field on their toes and caused quite a ruckus in the starting gate today. He lingered at the back of the field like a coiled snake and seemed intent on being tensed up the entirety of the race - he was underestimated today.
The field was full of preceders, mid-packers and closers so they all revolved around one another daring the other to be the first one to take the lead. With a field this large you know some horses might end up being boxed in, which happened to the the bottom three. Handsome Loon broke out of the boxed in position and challenged Mudslide, but the colt threw up his head and charged over the finish line winning by...a mudslide (see what I did there, I'm punny).

WIN Laddie Luck
place Mr. Wild
show Eavesdropper
4th Wild Havoc
5th Admiral's Lady
6th Bonfire
This race was certainly a doozy. Laddie Luck actually managed to maintain a third position for the majority of the race before opening up in the stretch and completely proving that he's an up and coming powerhouse. If this had been a real race - he'd be declared the crowd favorite. Mr. Wild was pushed today as he tried to push Laddie Luck into a faster pace which only worked in the latter's favor. Eavesdropper brought up the back of the pack for a good while before moving forward and cutting off Wild Havoc into the stretch. Admiral's Lady was a bit sandwiched between the boys of the field and she was challenged by Eavesdropper when she took the lead at the beginning of the race and did not regain her position after the stallion passed her.
Bonfire has been lightly raced overall and this is second time racing at this sort of competitive level so I'd just give him a bit more time and not let this placing get you down.
ARLINGTON MILLION STAKES*- 10F - G2+

FIRST Melusine
SECOND Like A Lady
THIRD Cyclonaria
FOURTH Firestorm
Melusine seems truly at home at this distance. Cyclonaria forced her rampage at Firestorm today in the middle of the pack, the pair got into quite the challenge for most of this race. Like A Lady held the lead for most of the race, and grit her teeth to get ahead of Cyclonaria at the wire who is more used to shorter ranges. Nothing wrong with Firestorm, he got caught up with three dominating mares and spent most of the race in an intimidation game with Cyclonaria.
