I Bet My Life & Momentarily Herself
It had appeared that Nature Spring Acre's had some major additions back to their stable and some of its new residents were not taking it well. David Monroe had settled to riding the Gamble on Peace colt, I Bet My Life. The colt was a spunky little juvenile that would hopefully showed promise on the sprinting fields. He was a half brother to the recently Grade One successor Toss Up, so he had a lot to live up to. The black colt trotted along the pathway dancing along with David holding drastically onto the reins, because well taking two hours just to catch the little guy was something David and the team had not intended. Once Life finally was able to be saddled and ready to go his temperament went from playful to being on duty. The two would bond greatly over time because both Jockey and horse were definitely a spunky bunch.
Mason Connelly was certainly pleased to see Momentarily Herself back in the reaches of Nature Spring Acre's. While she had flourished with the Grayson Meadows colors, Mason and the team had not minded taking her in to get her back to her level. The bay mare was a daughter of Dylan Himself, a stallion who won a leg of the Turf Triple Crown back in the old days, she was also a sister to the Dirt Mile Champion Supernatural. Ari was a bit of a nutcase at times but she was always one to follow her commands. Carlos soon caught up with David pulling the filly behind him as she pinned her ears at the colt beside her. Mason could only shake his head when he asked David to come along because well Carrie was busy doing something else.
Mason looked at David abroad the colt and soon pet Ari on he muzzle to praise her for her being so calm. "Good-luck competing him out there in the races. He only has three starts with no out of the money races, the owners of Grayson Meadows had big plans for that guy as they did for Ari here. Let's make them feel at home and then we can start training first thing in the morning.' Mason said walking Ari to the stalls of freshly laid hay and new water in the troughs and oats for them to eat. Terri Lane approached them with a smile and smiled looking at the bay filly she remembered as a foal. "Oh Ari is back. She has gotten so big I cannot wait to see how she does." Terri said soon walking over to David and rubbing Life's muzzle and soon gave him a kiss.
"Such a handsome guy you are." Terri said helping David put him in the new stall leaving the halter on him for safety reasons. It was good to have these horses here and couldn't wait to see them shine over the tracks. Momentarily Herself was an easy guess Mason had trained her before so the running style would be easy to catch on however, I Bet My Life was new to this stable and Mason wondered how he would run. Gamble On Peace was still a developing sire and so things would be decided tomorrow but for now they would let the horses rest and gain their strength before their training day would start.
