EUPHORIA MEMORIAL STAKES* - G3+ 12F D FIRST Adrasteia SECOND Impressionable THIRD Uno Momento FOURTH My Remedy
My Remedy could not compete with the seasoned HOTY stars in this race. He is older, but his success will come in grade specific races. He needs good solid months racing in grade specific competitions and he'll climb that ladder for you Holly.

LITTLE MISS INNOCENT MEMORIAL STAKES* - G3+ 10F T F/MFIRST Scintilla SECOND Melusine KENTUCKY OAKS* - G5+ 8F D 3YO F PREP FOR TRIPLE TIARAFIRST Winning Fire SECOND Bona Fide THIRD Fabled Dreams Fabled Dreams - Scotia you might not want to hear this, and other judges may feel differently, but Fabled Dreams was overraced as a 2 year old with 25 races in that year. You did give her a few weeks off in March but she still has had at least one race in every single month since she began racing. She is of course your horse, but as a judge I would prefer to see her not race again until July week 1. Every horse needs breaks and rests, and she is desperate for a good long one. If she'd had 8 less races in her two year old year I would have placed her first here today, she has a nice set up so far this year. I like her, I think she's got a nice record going for her, but she needs to get some balanced rest

ripley I'm an Uno fan, but today I couldn't see him getting past the SOPS mares. They had each other's numbers, Impressionable stalking Adrasteia to push and set a very hard pace. Given the experience so far this year given he's a four year old I'd like to see him have had another race or two under his belt tackling these other two. I'm rooting for him for Breeder's this year he needs to capture one of those!!

Impress Me Cup - P 9F Twin City of Ruins place One Might Wonder show Golden Truth fourth Truly Captivating fifth Out of the Voodoo I'm Impressed Cup - P 9F Dwin Pursuit of War place Mircalla show My Secretariat fourth War of Redemption fifth Bonsaia Love all of these horses so much that I had to take it to a pedigree basis to decide who would do well, and even then it was difficult. I highly recommend entering all of them in my Best Bred Tournament when entries open up, because with lines like these they would do really well! Focus Stakes - G5+G4 9F D NW 3 win Vesuvius place Hurricane show SeizeTheThrone We're not quite at that point in the season when a three year old can be considered the equal of an older horse, but in this case Hurricane's experience allowed him to edge out SeizeTheThrone by a whisker for the place. Vesuvius struck me as the type that would win here today. Blossom Stakes - G4 11F T NW3 win Fantasy Island place Dancer's Shadow Cupid Stakes - G1 8F Twin Impress The Moonlight place Summer Romance show Secret's Surprise Impress The Moonlight is a high caliber horse who delivered on that quality today with her first win of the season. The Turf Triple Tiara winner shut down Summer Romance's perfect season with a sweeping move bespeaking of great frustration in the stretch. Summer Romance is getting good, but couldn't shut down Impress The Moonlight today. Though based on her running so far this season, Impress The Moonlight does seem as though she's slowing down slightly, and I would recommend considering mid-season retirement for her. Though who knows, she might start picking it up and winning from here on out Secret's Surprise could not face up to these two mares today. She just needs to build back up her consistency before she gets really running again.

Sammy: Heart of Rio is a terrific mare, but she has not quite found the winner's circle this year. She is also older and time could be catching up with her. I thought the 8F would be a little short for her, especially with the miler-sprinter speed of Silent Snap and Luminous Wave in the same race. You could keep her in undercards and race her at longer distances to see if that boosts her up again. I expect you're planning to retire her anyway at the end of May since she is producing a Saint foal for Y17.

TOP SPEED STAKES* - G5+ 7F T 3YO PREP FOR TURF TRIPLE SPRINTER CROWN FIRST Seattle Lightning (whisker) SECOND Breaking Point (head) THIRD Storm Warning
In a huge upset victory today Seattle Lightning snatched the attention of everybody. He blew a hard pace with Storm Warning right out of the gates, the pair of colts dueling neck and neck in a relentless pace. Breaking Point stayed back a few lengths behind, and made a valiant bid for the lead in the last furlong. Seattle has been watching his competition and took his previous losses to these colts in hand today. Storm Warning kept up while Breaking Point, the major favorite, nearly got the win, but Seattle dug in and was determined not to have another loss today. This was a photo finish for nearly all three of these colts.
