Bohemian Rhapsody and Authentic Aura threw in strong races to upset the marathon specialist today. Bohemian Rhapsody put in an upset fit to serve notice that she's on the prowl for next year. Something about this filly just struck me today- I love her personality and think she's a real fighter. Authentic Aura has had a few tough last races but dueled gamely with the other two to get a nose down for second at the wire. Earthly Witch is obviously fantastic; the other two just managed to get her today.

Vesuvius - this horse is, in my opinion, HOTY ready. However, being a grade 3 he's still at a bit of a disadvantage. As Y18 comes around, if it was me I'd mix him between smaller HOTY races and undercards to help him grade up and he could be a monster by mid-year.

Flaming Confidenza just wasn't ready for this level of competition. She doesn't have the confidence in her overall record this year.

Pure Innocence pulled an upset today, but I really like this filly and I think she's really coming back into form here at the end of the year. She's gained some nice confidence from her last two races and just eked out a win against the strong sprinter Tisiphone.
