It isn't a surprise to say the least that the senior horses of the Nature Spring Acres have come to say no more with devotion. The horses ranging to the six or seven year mark are retiring from the track where they will start their breeding career in the year of 2018. It is hard to say goodbye to such creatures but the bloodlines they pass on will flourish.
First on the list of retirees is none other than Heart of Rio. The mare was lightly raced in her early career due to always being on the move from stable to stable. As a five year old she finally landed with Nature Spring Acres and flourished with wins, she was finally home and ready to take on the world. Going from Grade Four to Grade One within two seasons were certainly outstanding especially for how long she worked for it. The Mare has retired where she will be set to breed to Saintly Touch for a foal and take Y18 off. Heart of Rio is Aces Diamond Rio second daughter, and his first foal to reach Grade One.
Next up is an older sprinter favorite Rules of Passion. The mare is beyond a monster on the track standing about 17 hands high she pleaded her case on the tracks gaining popularity in the sprinter division. Full sister to the well accomplished Passion Heart and Grade Five stallion Rulers Secret, Rula will join her siblings in the breeding barn. While placing in the last race of her career, Rules of Passion will retire with a proud Grade Two to her name. Those do watch out the mare is just as nasty as her sister and will not take kindness so easily. It will certainly be a competition between her siblings however unlike her siblings, Rules of Passion had taken to the dirt surface.
