I realize lots of drama has surrounded this topic over the last few seasons, but please bear with me and clean the slate. If you are interested in a casual type of showing site please respond so I can gauge if there are enough people entering/judging to make it work.
Three options are available:
Yes, full time showing response is interested in showing in either weekly or bi-weekly showing with 4+ horses (this includes weanlings, yearlings, retired Thoroughbreds, and track ponies.)
Yes, part time would be members who might sporadically enter when they have some time, perhaps four to six times in a showing year, but would not be active each showing round.
No, not interested would be never showing.
To start off with this showing site would be casual to work out bugs and figure out what members like/want and over time if more interest occurs things can expand, but I don't want to go too far too fast and explode or something. (That would be messy. And smelly.) I would imagine a light showing load for July-December of Y17 to get things organized then if things are working go into more depth with it starting Y18. It would be its own site but would (with admin approval) link with Final Furlong as a sister site. No secondary stables would need to be made unless somebody really wanted to for whatever reason.

Also, we'd be gauging our time frame the same as racing weeks here to keep all seasons and dating even and such.

I'm saying a maybe - hence why i didn't vote in the poll xD I would potentially be interested however with my school schedule this year and work I'm not sure if i'll have enough time to be considered 'part-time' in the showing site. If there are enough people interested i'd potentially be interested.

I don't mind one opening up, though it's unlikely I would enter too many horses myself XD

I would definitely participate! What types of disciplines would be offered? And would other breeds be available?

I am a maybe too. I just now got able to balance time between here, work, school, and life so I will definitely think on this. I may add two horses but I am not entirely full on this yet. But it is an idea.

aurelia Well to start off it would be halter and showmanship classes, with some simple English and western shows to see what people liked/wanted. Probably much the same as FF operates in terms of grades or levels as well as age restrictions to a degree (like weanling classes, senior classes, etc.) It would be open for all breeds, so people could create whatever they wanted so long as it was fairly realistic (like shires aren't going to be doing high jumping classes for example). Members could just use their retired racers occasionally and no others, it would be relaxed and casual, not highly competitive. Biggest thing is going to be casualness of it, so that everyone who wanted could participate every couple of months or every week, with two horses or twenty. Lolly This is looking like there aren't too many interested, were you still very interested in giving it a go? I really hoped for four members full time with 1-3 part timers before attempting it. We can use randomizers to help judge at first if needed but if there isn't anybody entering but two I'm not sure how well that will work :/

I meant to reply to this earlier, but I forgot to.
I'd be interested in full-time. I'm taking this semester off so I've got plenty of free time when I'm not working

I would create my own string of Warmbloods probably. I wouldn't be super invested in the site if it was only in-hand classes, I would love to start Eventing if there is interest? Or maybe just Dressage or Jumpers.

Not much of it is in hand. Most of it would English and western showing. Dressage, jumping, hunter, eventing, pleasure classes, barrel racing, pole bending, trail classes, cutting, etc. it's the whole works.
