I would like some suggestions please on Crooked Intentions. I had wanted her to find G1 so she could retire the end of this year, however she may not reach that. I've taken a step back and looked her over as best I can from an overall perspective. If she doesn't reach G1 this season, should I retire her at G2, or should she return as a five year old? If so, would that be best to do a few races just to reach G1 then retire, or would she possibly be capable of more? As I've been learning about doing only HOTY quality once G1 status, is Tia the sort that could pull off that off in a final year, or not? She has not gotten in the money in any HOTY quality race this season, as a 3YO she got 2nd and 3rd in GHF Cups, as a juvenile she speckled a bit more in it. Although to be fair to her I didn't give her much of HOTY chance this season. I feel she's slipped out of HOTY quality, but I'd like a few opinions on how to wrap up her career. I'm not fully versed in her pedigree, but I saw her half-brother Vetanda slip this year and retire at G2.

I would refer to the evaluation Cav gave a while back as it provides powerful insight.
She's come this far but know that not every champion is defined by their grade level, many low grade horses have thrown superior offspring.
She is four years old now and maybe she's telling you that she's not that into racing anymore

Vetanda told me he didnt wanna race anymore xD You could try running her until the end of this year, but it looks to me she's telling you the same thing. Maybe the lines they have don't want to cooperate :p I think she will do very well as a broodmare, and I hope the same for her brother.

I think you could try her at five, but I'd either go all-HOTY in distaff races ONLY until she proved herself or just retire her if she doesn't do well for three months or so. She could surprise you, but as these two said, there are always horses that just don't want to. I retired Jericho and Fifty in Front both at G2 just because they didn't seem to want to do it anymore.

I'd go until she clinches her G1 win and then retire.

I would try her out and maybe keep her in the BSD level HOTY races. That or keep her in low fields to build her confidence level back up. She will let you know when she is done for sure but I would keep her going at least give her a chance.
