Impress the Moonlight won a total of 22 races in her career, 17 of them HOTY. She is the Y15 Triple Tiara Champion, and a Breeder's Cup winner. She was the Y13 BBT Best Classic Dirt Yearling, Y13 Best Prospect Filly, and Y14's Best Grade Four horse. I believe she's earned a place in the Hall of Fame showing several years of talent. Although she ran a good deal in the Filly and Mare divisions, she faced up against her half-sister Pandora who spent most of her time in the open divisions. She did beat her half-sister on several occasions, the two were in heavy competition against each other, and a good chunk of Moonlight's seconds in open divisions came from being edged out by her sister. Despite some believing the Filly/Mare divisions are 'easier', I would argue the point that she still did dominate that field especially as a three year old, and I don't feel less emphasis should be placed on her career. We have a variety of ways to make successful racehorses, we shouldn't be all inclusive to only having one opportunity to get there, and she is still the only horse to win the Turf Triple Tiara to date.
