THE WIRE'S GREEN AND RED MILE SERIES
Points are awarded for the first, second, third and fourth place finisher of each series. Top points winner is the winner of the series for that year. The competition is open to both colts and fillies in an effort to bring the best against the best. All races are conducted over eight furlongs, although the surface does vary from race to race. There are four dirt races and four turf races.
Red Mile Series - 8F - DIRT
JUNE WEEK 4 - The Dr. Fager Red Mile
JULY WEEK 4 - The Easy Goer Red Mile
SEPTEMBER WEEK 1 - The Cigar Red Mile
NOVEMBER WEEK 1 - The Wire Red Mile
Green Mile Series - 8F - TURF
JULY WEEK 2 - The Lure Green Mile
AUGUST WEEK 3 - The Frankel Green Mile
SEPTEMBER WEEK 3 - The Royal Heroine Mile
DECEMBER WEEK 1 - The Wire Green Mile
There are three winners with one champion of the turf, one of the dirt, and an overall winner. All are determined by points in each race. The points will be totaled at the end of the Green and Red Mile Series.
1st - 10 points
2nd - 8 points
3rd - 6 points
4th - 4 points
