Munn Stakes - G4+ - 9f - T - 3yo Win. Wild Havoc Place. Flawless Majesty Show. Eulogy Rise
Whew, the top two are fierce. I'm so excited to see them both back in action. They dominated the race today and I expect them both to be back at the top levels in no time.

MAJESTIC WARRIOR STAKES* - G5+ - 11f - T - 3yo Win. Patriot Place. Catastrophic Show. Knight's Ransom
Knight's Ransom: He definitely needs more confidence and easier racing. This was a good race to get his feet wet, but I would suggest placing him undercards until he starts winning again.

Cool Lake Marathon - M - 12f - D - 2yo WIN Night Terror PLACE True Speed show Natural Defiance
The boys got the best of Natural Defiance here. Without a start under her belt this season the two boys gave her a run for her money, but she kept right with them just until the end where she began her run early on but tired ever so slightly. I think once she gets more experience under her she will be a threat.

SPARTAN STAMPEDE DASH* - G5+ - 7f - T - 3yo WIN Storm Warning PLACE Breaking Point SHOW Seattle Lightning fourth Pied Piper fifth Ruling Restraint sixth Regal Rose
This was a really interesting race to look at. It had a bit of everything - some excelled as juveniles and are struggling now, some weren't great as juveniles but are rising on undercards this year, and overall it was actually a fairly level playing field. Some of the results are probably a little surprising, but 3yo sprinter HOTYs are always a bit dodgy this time of year because most of them have had lighter schedules than other horses their age since their series doesn't come until later in the year. That being said, I'd consider every horse in this race, from 1-6, on the road to the turf series. A lot of things can happen between now and then! Not to mention some of these may be green milers. Anyway, this was actually a pretty fun race to judge.
Regal Rose - These colts were destructive, and the filly had more hard-knocking and bump-and-grind than she expected in this race. The filly division isn't any less competitive, so I can't even point at some respite for her there - not that she isn't completely capable of taking them on. It'll be a hard struggle for all of these horses to get to the top, so the filly will have to work even harder!
Ruling Restraint - Like all of these horses, this colt was shifted around a bunch on this finish order. In the end, I figured this was his first real race on the trail, and I believe he'll learn a ton from it. He's got a perfect record to build off of for the later 3yo series, and I think he'll do just that off of this loss.
Storm Warning & Breaking Point - I got to my final two with these, and of the two Storm Warning really grabbed me. But it was nothing if not stupidly close, because I couldn't decide for the longest time. Good luck with these colts!
Pied Piper - Not much I can say here, really. The only thing that bumped him out of the top three was the fact that I really had some conviction about Seattle Lightning snagging that third place spot. So basically I'm saying he'll learn from this one too, and that these horses are so well-matched that none of these races will be a shoe-in. Everyone's going to have a shot at the winner's circle before we reach the series.

VERY ONE STAKES* - G2+ - 7F - DIRT - 4YO+ F/M WIN Artemis' Glory PLACE Melodious SHOW Hellfire fourth Sugar Demon fifth Trinity sixth Tiny Dancer
Aside from Tiny Dancer, who was out of her league in this one, I had a case for every one of these to hit top three. In the end it was a surprisingly vicious field for this point in the season and anything can happen and I'm just going to walk away now xD
